Local media personality Amanda Pernechele is inspiring fellow Territorians to take an active role in their health and wellbeing, describing her new partnership with Territory Health Fund as a perfect fit.

“Like many other Territorians I value my health and want to spread awareness on prevention rather than cure,” said Ms Pernechele.

“Looking after yourself and your family with the right support can be far more convenient than suffering health issues at a later date.”

Ms Pernechele appears in the current advertising campaign for Territory Health Fund, and was delighted when the organisation invited her to become a brand ambassador to represent the organisation at community events and in the media.

“I’ve gotten to know the team and they really are passionate about offering affordable, quality health cover to their members,” she said.

“Territory Health Fund are local and a perfect example of Territorians looking out for Territorians.”

Territory Health Fund Executive Manager Glenn Seri said partnering with Ms Pernechele will enable them to have a greater impact in encouraging locals to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

“Amanda represents our brand very well.  She’s fit, healthy, vibrant and engaged with the community,” he said.

“She inspires locals to live an active, healthy lifestyle while enjoying the best the region has to offer.

“As an organisation that wants to grow our support of events and initiatives that benefit the health and wellbeing of the community, we’re excited to partner with locals like Amanda who share our values.”

Amanda has been in the media industry in the Territory for 12 years. Having hosted radio and television programs, charity events, food festivals, gala balls and corporate events she now runs her own business, Moo Media in Darwin. Amanda’s latest endeavours include becoming the lead news reader for Territory Local News and a commonwealth-registered marriage celebrant.
