That's right, it's finally here – race week at NTCity2Surf! 

Leading up to the race there are a few things I'd like you to remember.

Before NTCity2Surf

  1. You have done the work. Relax and soak up all of the excitement you have for the event. 
  2. Stick to your program. Have confidence in your training, but most importantly, yourself. 
  3. Hydrate well everyday until the event. 
  4. Familiarise yourself with the NTCity2Surf Event Booklet for tips and information on racing times. 

On the day of NTCity2Surf (Sunday 26th June)

  1. Don't eat anything new, bulky or too spicy. On race day get up extra early, have some toast and about 500ml of water.
  2. Arrive to the event early so you can; easily find parking, collect your race number, find a toilet stop and begin your preparing your mindset. 
  3. Do a light warm up of about 5 minutes of easy running with a few accelerations or run throughs to stretch those legs out. Dynamic leg and arm swings may help warm up your whole body. 
  4. Remember to have fun! 

After the race

  1. Be proud of making it to the finish line! 
  2. Have an afternoon nap, elevate your legs and chill out because you deserve it.
