    Premium increases that were scheduled to take place on 1 April 2020 will now be implemented on 1 October 2020 as the six-month deferral period comes to a close. Rate Change Notices have now been delivered via email and are available for all Members via your Online Member Service portal under the Correspondence tab in the Rate Change Notice section. Posted mail will be received in the near future. Premiums shown on the website will be updated when the premiums increase from 1 October 2020.

  • 2019-20 Private Health Insurance Statements provided to Australian Tax Office

    Member tax statement information has now been received by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). When completing your Tax return your details should be automatically pre-filled. If you still require a copy of your statement they are are now available to view or download via your Online Member Services portal.

  • 2019-20 Private Health Insurance Statements

    Last year there was a change to the law resulting in health insurers supplying your Private Health Insurance Statement directly to the Australian Taxation Office(ATO). The information should be updated with the ATO and pre-filled for those who are lodging online via mytax or with a registered tax agent. If you would still like to receive a Private Health Insurance Statement , that’s ok, you can download one easily from Our Online Member Services portal. The ATO will have your Private Health Insurance Statement by 09/07/2020. We’ll update you when we’ve sent to them to the ATO.

    Premium rate increases due to take effect on 1 April will now be delayed until 1 October 2020 giving all Members some much needed immediate relief during this challenging time.

    Members do not need to take any action as premiums will remain unchanged.

    We understand that many of our Members are incredibly concerned about not only their health, but also their finances in the face of the current pandemic. We are pleased to advise the 6-month delay on premium increases is an addition to the Emergency Relief Package we announced last week.

    We remain committed to the health & wellness of our Members, staff and communities as we navigate the ever-evolving COVID-19 environment.

    We will be implementing all the additional benefits and changes previously advised to Members in early February 2020 including:

    • Positive changes to optical benefits#
      • The Annual Limit per person has been increased by $15 across all Extras products.
      • Introduction of an Optical Rollover Benefit, allowing Members to carry over any unused benefit entitlement that is not claimed during the previous Membership Year into the following Membership Year.
    • Removal of percentage limits applied to some benefits i.e Mechanical Aids, orthodontics#
    • Hearing Aids – Addition of subscription option#
    • Help for our changing families#
      • Introduction Extended Family cover to our “mid-level” Hospital covers
      • Introduction of Single Parent pricing to our “mid-level” Hospital covers
